Are
you an artist of Vietnamese American heritage? Are you interested
in getting a wider audience for your work? AVA's mission is
to promote art and artists. We can't accomplish our mission
without artists in the San Jose community.
Peforming
Artists
In
the past, AVA has presented works of both traditional and contemporary
artists. AVA is always searching for emerging artists or artists
with exciting new works. We accept year-round applications from
artists who would like to be considered for AVA's future projects.
Due to grant deadlines all artist applications must be turned
in by the September 30th for selection for the following fiscal
year (July 1 - June 30). To apply, the artist must submit a
resume and a videotape of your recent work to:

Due to the extra work required, any materials submitted to
AVA will not be returned so please do not send originals.
Visual
Artists
AVA
has organized several multi-media art exhibitions featurings
artists from all over the United States. Currently, AVA is developing
an artist registry for Vietnamese American artists. The registry
will serve two purposes. First, AVA will be able to notify artists
of our upcoming exhibitions. Second, AVA will be able to show
interested art patrons available artworks for acquisition. Recently,
AVA facilitated a sale of an artwork from one of the artists
whose work was shown in AVA's latest exhibition. Eden Housing
Corporation bought the work for $5000.00. If you are interested
in being a part of this registry, send your resume to Ms. Lan
Nguyen.
Please indicate if you would like your work to be shown to
art patrons and whether AVA can give your name and number
to the art patrons should they wish to see more of your work.
Other
Artists
AVA
is committed to present excellent Vietnamese American art in
all media to the community. If you are an artist working in
other type of media, feel free to submit a proposal to AVA.
Again, due to grant deadlines all artist proposals must be turned
